Tanswell documents comparative tests of consumer electronics with verified prices and availability data from the Romanian retail market. The focus is on devices that Romanian buyers can actually purchase from local retailers — not grey imports or products without local warranty coverage.
Categories covered include laptops, smartphones, wireless audio, smartwatches and fitness trackers, tablets, and smart home devices. Articles are written in English and address buyers who want detailed information before making a purchase decision.
Testing approach
Each device is tested over a minimum of five days as a primary device. Battery life figures are measured under consistent conditions (mixed browser and document use, 150 nits display brightness, Wi-Fi on). Fitness tracking accuracy is cross-referenced against reference hardware where possible. Prices are verified against at least two Romanian retailers at time of publication.
There are no controlled laboratory conditions involved. The goal is to document real-world behavior, not peak benchmark performance under ideal conditions. A laptop that scores well in a 10-minute burst test but throttles heavily after 20 minutes is noted as such.
Corrections and updates
Articles are updated when prices change significantly, firmware updates alter the behavior described, or when factual errors are identified. The publication and update dates at the top of each article reflect these changes.
